Welcome to the Virtual Information Center Web Site!

Enterprise Information Management (EIM) supports the Virtual Information Center (VIC) for KSU's statistical data and operational information. A wide array of static reports, interpretive analyses, and interactive "drill down," extraction and data reporting tools are available on this EIM Web site. EIM is the operations center for KSU's SAS-powered data management systems (operational database reports, data warehouse, marts, dashboards, analytics, etc.). Enterprise Reports

Access to the KSU Data Warehouse is restricted and requires special authorization from Enterprise Information Management and other offices on campus. Requests for accounts can be sent through contact us or by submitting a user account request form. Please visit the Log On and FERPA Training Instructions for SAS Portal and Web Report Studio before logging in. Once logged on, the SAS Information Delivery Portal site provides:

Access to SAS Web Report Studio and Futrix for customized self-service ad-hoc report generation.
Online training material for using SAS Web Report Studio and Futrix.
Access to hundreds of routine report generators that extract data from the live operational databases at KSU (i.e., Banner, PeopleSoft, and ADP) to census data stored in the KSU Data Warehouse.

What are the Census Dates?

Each semester, all University System of Georgia (USG) Institutions submit official enrollment data to USG Board of Regents. These data are reported through the USG Data Collections (click here for a listing of the data collections KSU submits to the Georgia Board of Regents each semester). To learn when those census dates are and to know when these data will be available for enterprise-wide reporting, please click here.

KSU SAS Initiative

A multi-year implementation of the SAS Enterprise Intelligence Suite for Higher Education (EISE) is underway. This suite of data management, warehousing, quality and analysis tools is used to assist in monitoring the accuracy of information in KSU's operational databases such as the Banner student information system as well as improve enterprise reporting and analytics. SAS EISE powers this web site with a dynamic portal, entitled VIC (Virtual Information Center), which will provide continuously refreshed data for a variety of measures.

VIC Overview

The SAS Information Delivery Portal powers the Virtual Information Center (VIC). Its organization not only includes publicly available data and analysis, but also private, secured access to routine ad-hoc operational database reporting from SunGard Higher Education Banner using SAS Web Report Studio. The site publishes a traditional static KSU Fact Book. However, the Web site itself is evolving into an ongoing, dynamic Fact Book (powered by SAS tools) containing self-service report generation capabilities from continuously updated data options on a variety of specific topics.

Graphic Symbols Used on VIC

Several graphics on VIC convey access to information on the web site. The following is a listing of those symbols:

Icon	Meaning
	The magnifying glass represents a dynamic report that may or may not have "drill down" capabilities. These reports require interactive instructions from site users to select information of interest.
	The multiple documents represent a link to a static Adobe PDF usually containing data and analysis on a specific topic.
	The application represents a link to a SAS management document or report. Usually, the contents of the document or report are searchable using the VIC 'Search' option in the toolbar at the top of the page.
